Haul post :)

Hey :)!

This time I didn't want to let too much time pass until my next post; so, even though I haven't got any outfits to show you guys, I thought I might share some new purchases before the next Harajuku Fashion Walk :D

First of all, I want to show you the items I'm going to wear there. Among which, my lovely Marie Antoinette Portraits jsk by Krad Lanrete, which I've been waiting for for like six months and which finally arrived at my house!

It's so, so beautiful, you should see how it fits, I *love* it! For some reason all the pics in this post came out pretty yellowish, but it's actually pastel blue.
Together with the dress came these two super cute rings:

And I'm going to wear it with these other two recent purchases I bought from a friend.
The first one is a cardi by H. Naoto. It fits so perfectly I couldn't believe how lucky I was, getting it secondhand at a ridiculous price and looking so good in it XD (if I get to say this myself XD)

And then there's this pretty wig, which I bought from the same friend. It's perfect because it's also so Jessica Day, so I can wear it even outside lolita. But it's perfect for lolita either because it has full bangs and locks :D

These are all items I'm going to wear at the next HFW in Venice <3 but I don't want to completely spoil my outfit for you guys XD so, onto the proper haul :D

Yesterday morning my mother and I went downtown to "buy some face cream and hand cream" for me, since I've always refused to put on any on my skin and well, you can see the results, my skin kind of sucks. Especially since I live in Milan and the amount of smog, humidity and dirt I receive on a daily basis has significantly increased. So I thought I might start using some protection.
Somehow, we ended up buying me these two super expensive creams:

A Chanel fragrance and a Lancome make-up remover for my mom, and then two more super-expensive products for me: eye-liner and mascara.

Then we got out of that perfume shop, and headed straight to Terranova, where I found a really nice denim jacket. Who doesn't own a denim jacket, now that the 90s are so aggressively back? I want to buy *so* many a-line colourful dresses to match it with!

And my mother bought herself a pair of leggings and a t-shirt.
We got out of that shop too and I saw it.
It.
THE bag.
The bag I've been waiting for my whole life.

I just. I can't. I don't. I've LOST MY ABILITY TO CAN.
I'd actually already eyed an almost identical bag, by the same TwinSet line, but I didn't really like the background colour (I was looking for white, beige or cream, and that one was kind of rose), and I was so sad because it had the perfect shade and the perfect combination of classy and romantic.
And then I found out there were other colours and, well. I love dots to death.
I literally saw it on a window, pointed it out and screamed:
"That one! Mum! THAT BAG is the one! It's the bag I've been looking for all this time!"

You know, there's this thing about me that if something does not COMPLETELY convince me in every single little detail, I'm not going to buy it. It might be something apparently meaningless, and my mom's always like "come on, you look good, what's wrong with that poor jacket" but it's pointless to even try. I'm not going to buy it.
BUT. When I see something that really, REALLY convinces me, there's no way to stop me from having it. You can see it right away because my eyes widen, my mouth opens and my voice trembles.
I don't waste my money on stuff I don't completely like, but I'm more than ready to spend any amount of money on the stuff I really do like.

Also, since my mother was in a good mood, she decided to also buy me the matching wallet.

I have to say I actually needed a bag and a wallet; the one I bring to university is shredded and my wallet is so little I'm surprised it hasn't exploded yet - it was about time I bought something that wasn't falling into pieces, for the weekends and stuff.

Then, on the way home, we saw a very cute shop with the loveliest dress on its window. My mother suggested we got in and I tried that dress on; she found a pair of pants and a t-shirt, and I found one of the most beautiful dresses I've ever had <3

I've never had such an elegant dress. I'll only be able to wear it in the summer since it has a cross back, but a friend of mine reassured me by telling me she's going to graduate in July, so I'm going to have the perfect occasion (actually there's my birthday too, but there I'm going to wear something more edgy :D).

By the way, this beauty's causing me a lot of pain! I've been meaning to wear it at my travel to Strasbourg in a few weeks but then I reminded why I've never worn anything blue: it's impossible to match!
What colours go with that shade of blue ;_;? I thought white, dark red and maybe mustard, but I'm not sure. I'd like to wear it with a cardigan, tights and heels, but I really don't know how to match colours and besides I don't own anything in the shades aforementioned. Can you help me? I really, REALLY need advice, so maybe I can buy something before I leave!

And since all that wasn't enough XD on the afternoon I went downtown again and bought more stuff: a black eyeshadow by Urban Decay, a lipstick and a make-up remover by Sephora.

And finally a few accessories I bought a couple weeks ago: super colourful bracelet (right from the Nineties!) and very classic black earrings, to wear with stuff that is black but not goth XD.

As you can see, it's not like I'm standing there idle hands when I'm not posting XD!

Selling stuff again! :D

My darlings :D

As I told you last time, my style is evolving, which means that I need:
-more space in my wardrobe;
-more money to buy new stuff XD.
Which lead me to selling some of the newest and most beautiful pieces of my collection :D I still love them very much, but I'm also aware that it's not fair to their awesomeness to just let them hung there in my wardrobe. They deserve better. Maybe there's someone out there who can give them all the love that they need!

These are the new things I'm selling. Please note that the vast majority of my clothes have only been worn once (I usually sell stuff because I realize I don't use it, so it's practically new). If you need further details, measurement or worn pictures, feel free to ask!

I'm really sad about parting ways with these items, which are definitely among my favourite ones, but maybe they're meant to be happier with someone else. ;-;

Stay Kawaii winged hoodie review, outfit, new Ever After High doll :D

Eventually I managed to find a winged hoodie that was also quite cheap. I think it's lovely, and I really should thank Stay Kawaii for giving me the chance to buy it.

Stay Kawaii is a freshly opened shopping service run by a girl I know, and I strongly recommend it to you all. Laura, the owner, is very good at her job: she has great taste, she's very kind, her service is fast and she's always available whenever you need information or further details on her products.

As for the hoodie, I'm very satisfied with it.
It's a one size fits all, though it actually only fits XS-S-M. I wouldn't recommend it to bigger sizes; I'm an S/M and it's just fine on me. It's quite warm, perfect for middle seasons; I guess those of you who are used to cold might even use it during the winter :). The wings are super cute and they stay in their place even after staying tucked under my coat and my backpack for hours. This hoodie also came at a very fair price.

All in all, if you live in Europe and like kawaii stuff, you should really give Stay Kawaii a try :)! I'm sure you're going to be just as satisfied as I was.

And then there's my new doll *_*!

As you surely know by now, I've always been a sucker for Monster High Dolls. They're as beautiful as they are expensive, dammit. Well; when this Ever After High spin off came out, I squeed so loud they probably heard me somewhere in Australia. The first doll to came out was Apple White, aka Snow White's daughter, and she was also the one I wanted the most.

Sadly, it was impossible to find them here. I was almost ready to order one on eBay, WHEN…

… when I moved to Milan and found out that THERE'S A SHOP THAT SELLS THEM.

I was with a friend when I saw them in the window. We run to the last floor where they keep them and looked at them in pure awe. Sadly though, there were no Apple Whites left. (Or better: there were some, but they were from another line, and I wanted the first one.)

So we decided to buy Madeline Hatter. At the moment neither of us had money, but last friday I went to buy a Madeline Hatter for this friend's birthday and… surprise surprise?

THEY HAD RESTOCKED THE FIRST APPLE WHITE!

God bless Milan. Sorry, Milan, for all the nasty things I said about you. Yes, you're cold and grey and messy, but you gave me Apple White. Now I'm finally remembering why I used to love you so much.

(I guess you can't really understand why I'm so glad I could find a doll that's probably in every store in the U.S.. Well, U.S. citizens, let me tell you that you're very, VERY lucky people on so many levels.)

I took a picture of my friend's gift before packing it :D it's really beautiful. I think I'll buy it anyways, sooner or later. 

Here she is, but I have to say she's way cuter than this picture shows.

These are beautiful dolls, really. Their quality is the same of Monster High Dolls and their structure is pretty much the same; the only difference is that, while Monster High dolls re-interpretate alternative styles and horror stories, these one are based on fairy-tales and thus feature sweeter outfits and styles.

There are actually a few Ever After High dolls that have darker colours and gothier outfits, like Raven Queen:

But that's because she's supposed to be the villain, and villains are traditionally portrayed in these colours and styles.

I'm so glad I bought one of these dolls. If you're a fan of Monster High Dolls, you'll surely appreciate the beauty of these new ones, their attention for details, the creativity in their styles.
This is going to be my next purchase, by the way: Blondie Locks.

Doesn't she look a bit like Alice from Alice in Wonderland ;)? In any case, she's gorgeous!

Another haul :D!

Hey :D

It hasn't been a long time since my last haul, I know, but in my defense there's to say that my hauls are always pretty moderate.
*sighs* And to think I was saving money for a laptop... and the few money I had left for other stuff, I had to spend it in Loverdose Tattoo. But then I bumped into Tally Weijl while I was at the mall and... it happened.
I'd gone to the mall because I had to buy clothes for the pranks me and my friends made for my cousin's graduation (she got her master degree in philology), and well, I got them, but I also came home with three new items for me.
Two of them were needed: I really, really need basic clothing, so no one can say these two things are not going to be useful when I'll be in uni.

I can't say the same about this beauty, though.

This one I really didn't need, but for God's sake LOOK AT THAT PRINT. I just can't resist flock prints.
I have absolutely no idea when and where I'm going to wear it: it requires no bra and no undershirt, since it is partially transparent on the front and completely transparent on the back; summer has just ended, it's a little too cold now.
But look at it. Just look at it. It's beautiful. And I love what it does to my waistline - shops definitely need more A-line clothes.

And, as if this wasn't enough... a friend of mine was selling a classic lolita jsk since she had bought two identical dresses by mistake. I had seen it on her at the Harajuku Fashion Walk that took place in Venice some months ago and I had loved it (click here to see it: she's the one on the right), so when I noticed she was selling it I immediately reserved it XD.

*sighs* This is exactly the kind of classic/country floral dress I was looking for. It's perfect.
Now all I have to do is figure out what I'm going to match it with, since I don't have shoes, or tights, or blouses, or a petticoat, or ANYTHING that can go with pastels. But since I'm growing fonder and fonder of this style, I guess I'll just have to buy something, like a white blouse and white tights.
My problem is with shoes.
I don't like typical lolita shoes like these:

They're cute, but they're not for me. I don't want to look like a chid - actually, I only use mary janes and poofy petticoats when I'm all dressed in black, which kind of compensates, doesn't it?
I prefer this kind of shoes, with a narrower heel:

Except, of course, these ones don't come in colours that might match my clothes.
I don't have a clue what to do with that dress XD. I don't want a frilly look, so I want to avoid this kind of stuff:

Instead, I think I should aim for this:

But then I keep wondering: hey, is there too much white in my outfit? Does brown look good with my jsk? Would my legs look fat with pastel colours? And so on.
I guess it'll take time for me to learn how to create a good classic lolita coordinate :D I've spent too much time in my total black comfort zone and now I have to learn to match stuff again XD

Winter is coming

Well, not exactly, it's not even autumn yet, but still, I'm wearing a hoodie right now, which means it's starting to get cold.

So. You know what happens when the new collections come out: you just feel the need to buy booties and leggings and sweaters. Even tough you have plenty of them. And believe me, I most certainly don't own plenty of sweaters: I have minidresses, heel shoes, corsets, but not warm clothing.

I have a problem with low temperatures, which I guess many alternatives can share: I never know what to wear when it's cold outside. I don't know why alternatives are supposed to, like, not feel the temperature outside, to wear knee-high leather boots in the summer and ripped tights in the winter, but I   can tell you I'm absolutely unable to do either of those things: I wear my New Rocks in the winter and my fishnets in the summer.
My problem is that I can't seem to find nice winter clothes. Shops just don't have anything that might keep you cozy. You can find longsleeves, blouses or maybe cardigans, but I want fucking HOODIES and SWEATERS.

Now, I get that it's not easy to create unique sweaters since, well, you can't print anything on them, or insert lace or fishnet parts 'cause that would let the cold sink in. But there's something they can do to liven a plain black sweater up a little bit: you can add chains, studs, crosses, patches, whatever. There are people who diy clothes but I'm not one of them, I don't have the creativity it takes; so it would be nice for me to find a nice sweater in a gothic shop for once.
And hoodies... I have to say I'm not a fan of hoodies, but the truth is I can't get through the winter without one. But all I seem to be able to find is skull prints or ribcage prints or stuff that involves bones in some way, and bones, as a trend, have never appealed to me.

I've found a few nice ones, though:

I would still feel weird wearing them because hoodies have always felt too casual to me, but these ones are kind of cute, especially the second one.
Still, hoodie+pants feels so mallgoth and babybat to me... T_T I mean, it's something you usually see on teens, isn't it? I don't know, I'm not a fan of casual.

This is the best I could come up with O.o.


Do you ever wear hoodies? If so, do you know some good online shops that sell nice ones, and sweaters? I don't want to find myself with just a few sweaters and my Nerv hoodie when the temperature is below 0°C: not again XD!

Sales haul + Make-up!

How are you doing?
I've been doing quite fine: I went to a Harajuku Fashion Walk in Venice AND to a Muse concert in Turin! Sadly, I don't have the pics of these two events yet: the photographer of the HFW is still working on my photoshoot, and I haven't seen my cousin's boyfriend (who took pictures of the concert) for a while. I promise I'll post tons of pics when I'll manage to get them :D

In the meantime, I wanted to show you the stuff I bought in my first day of sales.
Please note that I haven't been in H&M, Zara and Pull&Bear yet :D so I mostly bought make-up and accessories, and very few clothing.

This is an overall sight of my haul. Still pretty poor, I know, but give me time.

I'm very proud about buying that sweater because, as you can see, I got it at only €5. Believe it or not, I spent the whole fall and winter looking for a black-and-white striped sweater, and I never found one.

I found it in a summer day at the H&M kids section. (I know, I said I hadn't gone to H&M, but that's not quite true: I went to the H&M at the mall which doesn't have the same stuff as the H&M downtown, the one that really interests me because it has the Divided line.)

These ones are so extremely cute. I'd seen them with a friend last week and I decided to buy them. Unfortunately, though, they weren't on sale and I payed them full price.

But look at them. They're just so cute. And they'll go wonderfully with the dress the friend aforementioned gave me in exchange for one of my skirts (which I'll show you in one of my next entries, as soon as I give it a good ironing).

My boyfriend saw these and thought I might like them: for some reason, I loved them. This really isn't my usual style, even when I'm wearing pink, but they're so pretty, aren't they?

I'm lucky to have a boyfriend that not only comes shopping with me, but actually goes and looks for stuff I might like in the stores. I can't believe I'm so lucky, guys.

Aw. This wasn't on sale, either, but I really needed a bracelet that could go with a twee or sweet loli outfit. It's perfect. Looks at its sweetness.

THIS THING.

I've been eyeing this thing for almost a year.

Every single time I entered that store, I went straight to this minihat (or whatever this is) and checked if they'd finally lowered the price.

And they hadn't. Not even in the fall-winter sales.

But now they have. I'd promised I'd never buy this thing at more than 8 euros (and it cost 15) and I got it at €7,50.

Perseverance, my darlings. Perseverance, and a lot of penny-pinching.

And then I bought a nail polish to match the minihat. I tried on nine polishes before finding the perfect colour.

And well, since I was there, I took a look around and I found these. I needed new fake eyelashes and Kiko's are quite cheap.

I like this new style: they're shorter so you can apply them to the outer corner of the eye only. It's good form me since I have kind of round eyes and it was almost impossible for me to get the eyelashes to go along with my eye shape.

And then there's the make-up! <3

I've probably already told you, but I have this uncle who works with make-up firms, and every time he visits he brings us boxes full of make-up. This time he had lipsticks, I mean a bag filled with them (or better: full of what was left after my cousin took her share. Fair enough).

This is what I chose for myself:

I picked quite different colours because I still need to know which ones suit me the best.

I look good on pinks, so I chose a few (the third one from left looks particularly good on me; it's very similar to the colour of my lips, so it looks kind of natural); then I tried a purple because they told me purple goes well with grey eyes, then a nude (I guess a nude might be useful), a dark red and a coral. I tried coral before and I think it's a good colour for me.

It's so good to have all this make-up for free, isn't it? Especially considering how much all this stuff would've cost me in a store.

This one I bought. I've spent all my goth years looking for a dark red lipstick. This is exactly the colour I was looking for. Unfortunately it's a gloss, and I'm not really a fan of glosses, but that was all I could find. I put it on at the Harajuku Fashion Walk and I was very satisfied with its lasting.

And that would be all, for the moment!

But I still have to buy a pair of creepers and to check a few stores, so there's a huge chance my haul's going to increase :D.
