Monthly Theme: New Year's Eve

 


This time I managed to participate!
To be honest I've just got a few pictures of my New Year's Eve outfit, I was too busy playing Munchkin Cthulhu and Magic the Gathering in the Nerd Corner :D sorry about that, but you should be able to see what I'm wearing even in these few low-quality pics :D



<3 as you can see, I'm wearing my precious spiked Litas.


The bracelet I'm wearing is this one, one of my Christmas presents:

The ring is this one:

And the pendant is one of my latest buys <3 it's one of Sailor Moon's crystals, the one from the third Season (Sailor Moon S). What was its name in english XD?




I know the colours of the pendant didn't match the other jewelry at all, but I couldn't resist, it is too awesome <3


The funny thing about the dress is that I bought it last year for New Year's Eve but ended up wearing something completely different, and then it rested in my wardrobe until three days ago. I just didn't know how to match it: it's too elegant for everyday wear, but also for a gothic outfit, so I was about to sell it. But I didn't, and I'm glad I didn't because I hadn't bought anything for New Year's Eve's party, plus it perfectly matched my Jeffrey Campbells (which are spiked and made of leather, but I love combining lace with something more rock-inspired).

Halloween Outfit & Monthly Theme - Hosiery

As I said, in the end I couldn't be Drusilla: not only my boyfriend didn't want to shave his beard to be Spike, but he also got the flu, so I had to go to the party alone (I mean, with my friends) and there was no point in putting on an outfit I had planned to wear as a couple. (Besides, I hadn't found a brown wig)
So I went for a classic: pin-up. Not very original, I know, but you know, pin-up is a trend right now, and I had some clothes from my 2008 rockabilly phase :D. There was one in particular I'd only worn once, and it was too bad because it's lovely. So I gave up unicity and jumped on the rockabilly bandwagon :D

Unfortunately, my hair didn't come out very good. I had planned to do two victory rolls but it was easier to only do one; then I asked my mother for help with the curlers, but something went wrong and instead of getting amazing blonde locks I got... whatever this is. XD

XD I had also forgotten to bring my jewelry, my plan was to wear a black velvet choker. But I think my outfit was fine all the same.
Me and my friend Matteo ended up having matching costumes XD our friends told us we reminded them of Candyman by Christina Aguilera XD.
I don't really like the tights, but it was quite cold and there was a major storm outside. Well, they actually declared a state of maximum alert and we risked a flooding, but this happens very often where I live, I'm used to it :D.

And now... hosiery!



I'm glad this is this month's theme because these last few months I've bought some really nice stuff.
Unfortunately, I haven't worn any of these things yet, so the outfits you'll see below are instant and random xD I haven't figured out how to wear some of these tights yet.

For some reason, the picture of my favourite stockings (the lace corseted ones) came out really, really bad :/ but I should wear them again in a comic convention this weekend, and I'll make sure to take better pics. :)

Monthly Theme Post - Bows (2)

Here's another entry for the Monthly Theme Post ^^!
I'd meant to take a picture of all the clothes, shoes and accessories with bows or bow pattern in my possession, but then I thought that I would've had to post half of my wardrobe... I've just started this blog, I don't want to show everything immediately XD
So I'll go for just an outfit which, on the other hand, is FULL of bows :D this is what I was wearing to a meeting that took place a month ago.

 This dress originally had two bows on the front, but I didn't like it, two were too much; so I cut it off. I like it better now :)

 These shoes have bows even on the back <3 and please notice the tiny bows on the stockings :D

And this is the back bow of the dress.

I guess this is it for this month's theme, at least for me, but you'll probably see a lot of bows around here :D so I'll just thank Victorian Kitty for giving me the opportunity of showing my bows to a lot of people <3 this was an amazing challenge!

Monthly Theme Post - Bows

This is the first time I participate to this challenge ^^!
This theme is really interesting, especially if you consider that every time I spot a bow on whatever item of clothing I just lose my rationality. I'm probably going to post more than one outfit; I'm starting with this one because this is what I wore last night :).

The pictures were taken in different moments... the one above was taken in the afternoon (at first I had planned to do my hair like that) but for some reason my camera wasn't working. The only decent pic I got to take was this one, in front of the mirror.

I later went for a side tail... hmm, I'd meant to curl them a little bit, but then I remembered that my hair just don't stay curled even when I stay still for the whole evening; let alone if I'm dancing Balada Boa like there's no tomorrow...

And these are the bows.
I went for flats because I wanted to maintain a frilly look and the heels would have spoilt it all, making it more vintage-50s (which is absolutely fine to me, I love a 50s outfit, but this isn't what I meant to do this time).
Actually I had a pair of shoes that were PERFECT for this dress (which is new btw, I bought it saturday morning and I couldn't resist, I just had to wear it on saturday night) but after they spent a winter in my garage when I picked them they were unexplainably dirty. That's too bad. They looked a lot like these ones:

Except they had two t-bars. I'll wash them and post a picture of them some day :)
